In any mediation, each party is in charge of the outcome and Louisa’s practice is as flexible as individuals and corporations are different.  Sometimes, both call for a mediator to drive through a hard and fast financial settlement in which case Louisa uses techniques which often result in a settlement being reached during the course of 3-4 hours.  In other cases the parties need more time and space to regain clarity about their current predicament which, due to the conflict has become foggy, uncertain and unmanageable.  In all cases Louisa strives to help parties see the bigger picture and move on.

Louisa stakes her reputation on her integrity, honesty, professionalism and drive to go the extra mile for every client.  At the same time, she recognises that she works with human beings and endeavours, in an environment that is sometimes intense and traumatic, to inject hope, humour and strength.

§               Professional negligence claims: involving solicitors and long standing
     client

§               Medical negligence claims: involving Strategic Health Authority and

             parent on legal aid

§               Breach of contract: dispute between charterer and agent of South

           African shipping manufacturer

§               Neighbourhood disputes: involving noise, violence and mental health
     issues
